July 24: Hannah Benet: building the image in Photoshop

Want to learn from working professional photographers? On July 24 we’ll host Hannah Benet, whose Photoshop process is a crucial part of her creative workflow! Hannah transforms her images, captured in natural light, into extraordinary – yet fully believable and realistic – photographs! In a live demonstration, she will build up an image from the RAW file, through dozens of Photoshop layers and masks, to produce an emotionally-provocative final photograph. This is a very rare opportunity to see how pros produce their images – and to discover a path to lifting your own processing from rudimentary to sophisticated!

Hannah Benet is an activism, lifestyle, and editorial photographer. Her personal work in largely inspired by bringing attention to environmental injustices and their resulting impact on communities, most of which goes ignored in the popular media. She is currently creating commercial advertising images in the healthcare field.

Join us at 6PM for social time, and at 7PM for the presentation, at our usual location, Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. This will also be Daniel’s last meeting as President of LADIG – come give him a big round of applause!!!!
