November 28th: Lightroom Classic vs. CC – which one right is for you? And iPhone Video!

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you already know that last month Adobe released not one, but two new versions of Adobe Lightroom!

The newest version of the software we all know and love is now called Lightroom Classic; and there is a new cloud-based Lightroom, called Lightroom CC. But now that there are two, which one should I use?

LADIG’s Daniel Sofer was at the Adobe MAX conference and pestered all the Lightroom engineers and marketers he could collar about what is actually going on??? and he brings his more nuanced, behind-the-curtains view of what Adobe is up to and which Lightroom is right for you.

Don’t miss it!

Besides this Lightroom vs. Lightroom discussion, video editor Jimmy Chou will talk about his video work with George Simian’s workshops and give you some tips about how to get more comfortable with video.

This meeting will be held at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. We’ll be in Fiesta Hall, the large building at the north end of the park. Doors open at 6pm and we’ll get rolling at 7pm.

Admission is free but we’d appreciate a donation to pay for snacks and help keep LADIG afloat.

September 26: Video Editing for Photographers

We know you can shoot video with your digital camera and your phone, but most photographers are petrified about editing.

Well, in this evening’s meetup Greg and Daniel will show you how you can process and edit your video clips, using Apple’s iMovie and Adobe Premiere Pro. We’ll also show you an easy way to make videos from your photos, right in Adobe Lightroom.

This meeting will be held at our usual location, Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. Doors open at 6pm and we’ll get rolling at 7pm.

Admission is free but we’d appreciate a donation to pay for snacks and help keep LADIG afloat.
