February 27th: Photoshop Masking & Compositing

At our February meeting, February 27th at Plummer Park, we are going to demonstrate selections and masking in Photoshop, with a demo of the new “Select Subject” feature.

The most significant ability that Lightroom lacks is making selections accurate to the pixel – and, with layer masks, being able to isolate and re-combine parts of an image, or even parts of different images, into a new composite! Greg and George will demonstrate different strategies for making selections, both quick and accurate, and show a workflow where masks are used to enhance an image, or combine different images!
Please bring a challenging image on a flash drive, and the presenters will try to mask it right in front of you!

This meeting will be held at our usual location, Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. Doors open at 6pm and we’ll get rolling at 7pm.

Admission is free but we’d appreciate a donation to pay for snacks and help keep LADIG afloat.
