It’s the start of the new year and the perfect time to talk about the care and backup of your Lightroom Catalog and photo assets. Here are some of the things we’re going to discuss at our event, Tuesday January 17th:
Working with Lightroom – not against it – to streamline your workflow so you know where your images are.
Setting up and maintaining a backup strategy: backup gurus have always suggested “three copies, at two different locations” as a comprehensive strategy, and we offer some suggestions how to achieve it.
For those of you managing a large number of photos or other media assets, Ryan Barron from BITS.LA will be here to talk about network storage and introduce the Synology line of NAS drives that offer a wide range of storage and cloud-connected options.
New Lightroom Mobile
There is also a new, completely redesigned version of Lightroom Mobile out. Daniel will spend some time showing you the new features, and explain why it’s become his go-to app for taking pictures, not just editing them.
Our event will be held at Plummer Park in West Hollywood. The entrance is on Santa Monica Blvd at Martel Ave, there is adequate parking on-site (3 hr limit) with additional parking available at the north end of the park (accessible from Fountain Ave).
Doors open at 6pm for snacks and socializing, the presentation will start at 7pm.
Admission is free and open to all, but we’d appreciate a donation to help keep LADIG rolling. Register on the form below:
