January 19, 2016: Mirrorless Camera Shootout / Managing Your Photos

We’re going to give you a look forward and back to start 2016.

Back, to help you manage and backup your photos; forward, to give you a look at some current camera technology.

It’s important to keep your photo files and catalog backed-up and in tip-top shape. We’ll be talking about recommendations and best practices. Process, hardware, and software.

In addition, Daniel has been testing the Sony a7R II full frame mirrorless camera and Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II Micro FourThirds camera. He’ll show you how the image quality compares with the APS-C FujiFilm X-T1 with some large prints to compare and offer some thoughts about his experience with these three mirrorless cameras.

We’ve also got a 1 year subscription to Creative Cloud/Photography Edition that we’ll be raffling off, courtesy of Adobe. Win and get on Creative Cloud or extend your existing subscription.

Our monthly Event takes place at the Plummer Park Community Center in West Hollywood (map). The entrance is on Santa Monica Blvd at Martel Ave, there is adequate parking on-site (3 hr limit) with additional parking available at the north end of the park (accessible from Fountain Ave).

Doors open at 6pm for snacks and socializing, the presentation will start at 7pm.

Admission is free, but we’d appreciate a donation to help keep LADIG rolling.
