Submitting Photos for the Member Photo Gallery and Top Page Banner:
Members can contribute photos to two places on the LADIG website, formats are described below. Before you send any photos, please take a look at the photos already on the website, so you can get a better understanding of how your photos will appear.
Member Photo Gallery
The Member Photo Gallery is a slideshow of photos that appear on the home page. It appears initially in a small size, but can be enlarged to full screen. Visitors can stop and start as well as navigate through the slideshow. To participate, submit photos at an approximate size of 900 pixels (h) x 600 pixels (v). We will place a watermark in the lower left corner, with your name and url.
Top Page Banner
The Top Page Banner images are randomly selected by the server on most pages of the LADIG website. They must be EXACTLY 980x200 pixels in size. Photos not meeting this specification will be returned. I realize this is not a format suitable for many subjects, so please take this into account. You might consider creating a montage of images instead of trying to crop a single image to this size.
When preparing your images, take into consideration that the bottom 30 pixels will be screened behind the navigation bar, and that the top left section of the photo will be obstructed by the LADIG logo. If you like, you can place a watermark with your name/url along the right edge.
Email your photos to Daniel Sofer at webmaster@ladig.org. Please submit no more than five photos at a time. Make sure I know who you are so that I can verify your membership and properly credit your work. Photos will be used at the discretion of the webmaster. It is our intent to showcase the work of our members, but submitting work does not guarantee its appearance on the LADIG website.
