March 9, 2010: Wi-Fi Night with Daniel Sofer
This year LADIG will be holding events every month, on the second Tuesday..
Our March event features LADIG's webmaster, Daniel Sofer, who will show you how to use wireless networking with your camera, and streamline your workflow.
After introductory remarks about Wi-Fi networking, Daniel will demonstrate three different products that offer wireless connectivity for your digital camera: the onOne DSLR Camera Remote for iPhone, the Eye-Fi series of wireless memory cards, and the Canon WFT Wireless File Transfer units for Canon DSLRs. He will also be talking about the MiFi devices available from Verizon and Sprint.
Learn how you can use Wi-Fi to remote control your camera, upload to your web site or even turn your camera into a server; and how to bring the Internet to all of your shoots.
Wacky Hacks guru Greg Dyro will also be on-hand for his usual tour of cool tricks, this time focusing on Wi-Fi applications.
The location for the March meeting is still to be determined, all members and registrants will get an email update with the location information.
LADIG members: $5.00 / Non-members: $20 / Students: free with ID
Food and drink will be provided.
