Image Archiving Party Seminar Rocked!

Thanks to everyone that came out to the LADIG meeting last night. Archiving isn’t the sexiest topic to speak about especially preceding Greg Gorman’s beautiful nudes and portraits. Well, you know what they say.. opposites attract.

This camera phone shot of Greg (De Stefano not Gorman) pretty well sums up the evening. Well, that’s the story I am going with since we had our whole capture rig set up with a medium format camera and the only real shots Greg came back with was this camera phone image of himself and a lot of blurred motion shots of peoples butts doing the Cameron Diaz underwear dance.

It was great to see our new T-Shirts go over so well. They were the hit of the evening. We will set up an order page in the near future for those of you that didn’t get one.

A big omission in my speech last night was the announcement of Image Mechanics half price editorial capture package for $750. LADIG members get a free interactive web gallery with that package - normally $250. We created this package for the editorial photographers shooting 15-20 rolls per job who are generally priced out of the digital capture market.

$750 Editorial Package Includes

  • Canon 5D
  • 24-105mm lens
  • 24″ iMac capture station
  • Experienced Image Mechanic technician
  • Batch processing of entire shoot
  • Interactive Web Gallery (LADIG members only)
