Lee Varis Digital Imaging Workshops at the Icon

The next series of free classes in underway at the Icon. These Digital Image Workflow classes focus on the same topic for one month so classes will repeat at least 4 times, always on Wednesday evening. If you have to miss a class one week it will repeat the next week – each month will feature a new topic. This month we look at a new digital zone system, camera calibration, presets and processing defaults.

I’ve noticed that not everyone who signs up shows up… it is a FREE class so… if a class appears to be sold out, you are welcome to come by and see if there are any available seats. If you have reserved a seat and you don’t arrive by 7:00 your seat my be given out.

Seating is limited to 15 people so please register online in advance to secure a seat. I’ve turned over the registration to the Icon – please register for the desired date from the drop down menu. You don’t have to attend all the classes as they repeat until we get to July when the next topic starts.

Class topic: Calibrating for Digital Capture

This class will cover testing and calibration proceedures for your digital camera including:

  • Shooting a test to determine your camera’s true ISO rating
  • Color calibration using the DNG Profile Editor app
  • Setting up presets and processing defaults for ACR/Lightroom
  • Automating camera downloading, renaming and converting
